Cancer on a budget

Cancer on a budget

I have had a lot of wonderful new doors open up to me because of this blog. Even though it’s a tiny blog on a small corner of the internet, I have met a lot of wonderful people because of it. Recently, I have had the pleasure to collaborate with Patientsrising.org to write an article on beating cancer on a budget.

For some, like me, the lack of great insurance and the absence of a huge savings can be extremely stressful in times of need. When I began my cancer journey I had no idea what I was going to do to pay for it. It became a huge stressor for me. Part of me thought I was going to die from the cancer because I wasn’t going to be able to afford treatment. Another part of me was resigned to having a huge debt hanging over my head for the rest of my life. Luckily for me, the pieces fell into place. This is a story of my financial journey. Please go check the article I wrote for Patients Rising, and check out their website. They are an amazing resource for those struggling with finances during cancer as well as other disease.
